Ordering & payment 
How do I place an order? Plus

Browse our collection, select your preferred gold color, size, and gemstone (if applicable), and add the piece to your cart. Checkout takes about 2 minutes. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Affirm installments. Your order confirmation arrives by email within minutes.

Can I order a piece with a custom gemstone? Plus

Yes. Many of our pieces are available with custom gemstone options — from White CZ and Moissanite to genuine Emerald, Ruby, and Blue Sapphire. Browse the gemstone selector on the product page, or contact us via chat or email at info@piercing-zone.com with your preferred stone. We'll confirm pricing and lead time before placing your order.

Do you offer payment plans or installments? Plus

Yes. Affirm installments are available at checkout for eligible orders. You can split your purchase into 4+ interest-free payments with no additional fees. The option appears automatically during checkout if your order qualifies.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it? Plus

We process orders quickly, so changes depend on timing. If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact us immediately via chat or email at info@piercing-zone.com and we'll do our best to accommodate. Once shipped, we're unable to modify it — but our return policy has you covered.

Is my payment secure? Plus

Absolutely. We use Shopify's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure - the same security standard used by millions of stores worldwide. We never see or store your card details. All transactions are encrypted with SSL.

Do you offer free shipping? Plus

Yes. Free economy shipping is included on all US orders from $150. International shipping rates start at $32 and are calculated at checkout based on destination.

How can I track my order? Plus

Once your order is shipped, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can also track your order through our Order Tracking page.

Do you ship internationally? Plus

Yes - we ship to most countries worldwide. International orders are fully insured and tracked. Please note that EU and UK customers may be subject to local VAT and import duties upon delivery (typically 19–25% in the EU, 20% in the UK). These charges are assessed by your local customs authority, not by Piercing Zone. Full details are available on our Shipping Policy.

What if my package is lost or damaged? Plus

Every order is fully insured. If your package is lost, damaged, or stolen in transit, contact us and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. We handle the insurance claim - you don't need to do anything except let us know.

Returns, exchanges & warranty
What is your return policy? Plus

We accept returns within 90 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original sealed packaging. We'll refund the purchase price (excluding shipping fees). Custom gemstone orders and pre-orders are final sale - please confirm your preferences before ordering.

To start a return, contact us at info@piercing-zone.com with your order number. We'll provide instructions and a return address. You're responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer exchanges? Plus

We don't offer direct exchanges at this time. If you'd like a different size, color, or style, simply return the original piece and place a new order. This ensures you get exactly what you want without waiting for us to process a swap.

What does your lifetime warranty cover? Plus

Every piece from our partner brands - Buddha Jewelry, Junipurr, Tawapa, BodyGems, Norvoch etc - is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If your jewelry develops a fault due to craftsmanship (not normal wear or accidental damage), we'll repair or replace it at no cost. Contact us with photos of the issue and your order details.

Product & sizing
What materials do you use? Plus

Every piece in our collection is crafted from solid 14K or 18K gold - never plated, never hollow, never vermeil. Our titanium pieces use implant-grade ASTM F-136 titanium. All materials are hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and safe for long-term wear in piercings. We are APP-certified (Phase 1 & Phase 2 verified) as an authorized retailer of piercing-safe body jewelry.

What is threadless jewelry? How does it work? Plus

Threadless (also called push-fit or press-fit) jewelry uses a two-piece system: a post (flat back labret) and a decorative end. The end has a small pin that bends slightly to create tension, holding it securely inside the post. No screwing needed - just push it in. This makes it easy to swap decorative ends at home without removing the post from your piercing. Most of our collection uses the threadless system. Learn more in our Threadless vs Threaded guide.

How do I know what size to order? Plus

Size depends on both the decorative end and the post:

Threadless end sizes (2mm–5mm): 2–3mm for subtle, everyday wear. 4–5mm for visible statement pieces. If unsure, 3mm is the most versatile choice.

Post length:Your piercer can measure this for you. If you don't have access to a piercer, contact us with a photo and we'll recommend the right length.

What gauge do I need? Plus

Gauge refers to the thickness of the bar or post. Most ear piercings use 18g (1.0mm) or 16g (1.2mm). Nostril piercings are typically 18g or 20g. Septum piercings are usually 16g or 14g. If you're unsure, check with your piercer - using the wrong gauge can cause irritation. Nearly all threadless jewelry at Piercing Zone is compatible with standard 18g and 16g posts.

Are the end and post sold together or separately? Plus

The decorative end (the visible part) and the post (flat back labret) are sold separately. This lets you choose the exact post length for your anatomy and swap ends freely. We carry both gold and titanium posts in various lengths.

What's the difference between 14K and 18K gold? Plus

14K gold is 58.3% pure gold - it's the industry standard for piercing jewelry because it balances purity with durability. 18K gold is 75% pure gold - richer color but slightly softer, best for healed piercings in low-movement placements. Both are hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and safe for permanent wear. 14K is our most popular choice for everyday piercing jewelry.

How does the Piercing Zone Rewards program work? Plus

Earn points on every purchase, review, referral, and more. Redeem your points for discounts on future orders. It's free to join - simply create an account. You earn 2–4 points per $1 spent depending on your tier (Member, Insider, or Pro). 100 points = $1 toward your next order. Visit our Rewards page for full details.

How do I earn points? Plus

Every $1 you spend earns 2–4 points (depending on your tier). You also earn points for photo reviews (Up to 800 points), referrals (200 points), birthdays (200 points), creating an account (200 points), and following us on Instagram (50 points).

How do I redeem my points? Plus

When you have enough points, you can redeem them in your cart: 500 points = $5 off, 1,000 points = $10 off, or 2,500 points = $25 off. Points rewards can be combined with other promotions.

Do points expire? Plus

Points expire after 12 months of inactivity. Any purchase resets the clock - so as long as you order at least once a year, your points never expire.

Jewelry care & piercings
How do I care for my gold piercing jewelry? Plus

Solid gold requires minimal care. Clean your jewelry with warm water and a mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine, and abrasive cleaners. For piercings, clean around the jewelry with sterile saline spray (we recommend NeilMed wound wash) 1–2 times daily during healing. Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or ointments on piercings.

Can I wear this jewelry in a fresh piercing? Plus

All of our jewelry is made from piercing-safe materials (solid gold and implant-grade titanium), so it's suitable for healed piercings. For fresh piercings, we recommend having your piercer install the jewelry to ensure proper fit and sterile handling. If you're upgrading from starter jewelry, wait until your piercing is fully healed - healing times vary by placement (6 weeks for lobes, 6–12 months for cartilage).

How do I change my threadless jewelry at home? Plus

Hold the flat back post steady behind your ear (or wherever the post sits). Gently pull the decorative end straight out - it will release from the post. To insert a new end, bend the pin slightly (about 15–20 degrees), then push it into the post until it clicks. Work over a clean surface, not over a sink. If you're having trouble, our team can walk you through it via chat.
